Yorktown Sports Park

To enhance the quality of life for the residents of Yorktown and western Delaware County, the Town of Yorktown, in cooperation with the Delaware County Commissioners, Yorktown Community School Corporation, Yorktown JAA Baseball and Softball, Delaware County Futbol Club, Delaware County YMCA, and Munciana Volleyball participated in the construction of a 60-acre multi-sport complex. The Yorktown Sports Complex is located at 200 S. County Road 600 W, Yorktown.

Worthen Arena at Ball State University

Worthen Arena is the home of the Cardinal men's and women's basketball and volleyball teams. The venue seats 11,500 fans and is part of a larger athletics complex that connects the Jo Ann Gora Student Recreation and Wellness Center, Health and Physical Activity Building, and Field Sports Building. Muncie and Worthen Arena has hosted the IHSAA Girls State Volleyball Finals since 2007, bringing teams and fans from all over the state of Indiana.

Prarie Creek Reservoir

This beautiful park is located approximately five miles just southeast of Muncie. The reservoir and park area boasts 3.3 miles of aquatic recreation and more than 750 land acres of natural landscape. Some of the wide array of activities we offer include boating, swimming, fishing, camping, hiking/biking trails, ATV trails, and horseback riding trails. Prairie Creek also hosts several spectacular events, such as triathlons, concerts, festivals, and family reunions.

Cardinal Greenways

Cardinal Greenways is a private, not-for-profit organization that encompasses the Cardinal Greenway, White River Greenway, Historic Wysor Street Depot, John Craddock Nature Preserve, and Cardinal Equestrian Trail. The Cardinal Greenway is the longest rail-trail in Indiana and spans 62 miles from Marion through Muncie to Richmond in East Central Indiana, with a road section from Gaston to Jonesboro that is approximately an additional 15 miles.

McCulloch Park

McCulloch Park is the largest community park located in Muncie, IN. It is accessible to the community and includes a baseball diamond, softball diamond, soapbox derby hill, basketball court, disc golf course, playground, rental cabins, picnic shelters, and more. It also provides ample parking for the White River Greenway.

Tuhey Park & Pool

Tuhey Park is located along White River Blvd. near downtown Muncie. With the White River Greenway just across the street, this public space is an ideal oasis for all members of the community. The primary feature of the park is Tuhey Pool, the city’s premier public swimming pool. In addition to the pool, guests can enjoy a slide and splash pad. The surrounding park has picnic shelters, open space lined with benches and trees, and a playground.

Yorktown Lions Club Park & Disc Golf Course

Located at the intersection of Adeline and Russ Streets just east of Kilgore Avenue in Yorktown, this quiet, wooded park is home to the 24-hole Carl Scott Memorial Disc Golf Course. The park also has picnic areas, a playground, a pavilion, and a great sledding hill in the winter.
